Israeli Folk Dance Teachers course

Mon 1 Jul. The Department of Folk Dance Teaching of TA University is planning to open, a Condensed, one-month Israeli Folk Dance Teachers course, geared mostly For foreign country dancers and Group Leaders. The course will include: epertoire of Old and New IFD; Teaching Methods; Stage Performance Choreography; Dance Techniques; Music Interpretation; Encounter with Choreographers; Sound Equipment Handling and operating; Etc Those who Attend and complete the course, will be granted a Tel-Aviv University "Certified Dance Teacher Diploma", and the option to acquire a membership Title at the Israeli Folk Dance Teachers Organization. Volunteer in Israel

Kayak Class

Mon 15 Jul, 8 am-4 pm. Mosaic has negotiated a private class at a discounted price. This is a full day course and will cover kayak safety, paddling techniques, self-rescue (how to get out of the boat when it flips, a good thing to know). If time allows there will be some instruction in rolling. Other techniques covered include using a paddle brace to stay upright, getting in and out of the boat both on land and in the water, and more. The course will be taught by Carla Jennings, an ACA certified instructor.
