This exhibition, on display September 19 through November 30, considers how Bak's reinterpretations of conventional art genre and appropriations from well-known artworks evoke displacement and loss and create universal symbols of suffering. Explanations and a running commentary accompany the service, so that even people less familiar with it feel more connected. The service is followed by a full-scale, gourmet Shabbat meal on the first Friday of the month, and a lighter dinner on the third Friday, in the social hall downstairs.
