Exhibit on view through August 31, 2009 Israeli artist Irit Zohar, whose work has been exhibited at the Tel-Aviv Museum (Meirovich section) and countless other galleries, debuts in America with Painting in Action, a series of large, powerful, energetic works deeply influenced by her spirituality. Irit Zohar is both a sensual, creative, and spiritual artist and also a successful business woman. She owns the largest design studio in Israel, which specializes in branding and marketing design. Irit’s staff consists of six designers and she is responsible for hundreds of public works projects in places like Ben Gurion International Airport, Israeli Knesset, Nokia Arena (Israel’s national stadium), and hundreds more in Israel and abroad. Reclaimed: Paintings from the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker March 15, 2009 - August 02, 2009 A selection of outstanding Old Master paintings are assembled in this exhibition of the reclaimed works of the preeminent Netherlandish art dealer Jacques Goudstikker. Goudstikker fled Amsterdam during World War II, leaving his collection behind, much of which was looted by the Nazis. Recently, 200 works in Goudstikker's collection were reclaimed by his heirs. Kirshenblatt, who was born in 1916 in Opatow, Poland (Apt in Yiddish) and left for Canada in 1934, taught himself to paint at age 73.
