Nia is a cardio dance group fitness class that incorporates martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. As an ongoing practice, Nia promotes mindfulness, holistic fitness and well-being. Nia empowers people of all shapes and sizes to connect to their body, mind, emotions and spirit by paying attention to sensation.
This one-hour class is perfect for all levels of experience and fitness.

Want to learn tango? Come join the UF Argentine Tango Club for a free beginner tango class. Feel free to join even if you have never danced tango before, there are teachers for whatever level you might be.
Who: Everyone can come. The beginner class is geared for people who have never danced before or who want to practice the basics. The intermediate class is for those who have been to at least some classes and is for you if you feel ready and confident enough to learn some new steps. The advanced class is for those who have been dancing for a long while now and will feature more complicated steps, so ask a teacher to make sure you are experienced enough for this level.

The second hour covers a variety of social dances such as Waltz, Rumba, Two Step, Bachata and the like, enough so that you can do these dances at socials.
New series starting September 6 for beginners. This series caters to people who have never danced before. This is a progressive series, starting at the beginning.
This is a 6-week series, skipping Thursday September 13 and Thursday October, ending Thursday October 25.
Experienced dancers are attending this series as well. We have a group of experienced dancers who have been through this series before. If you have experience, you can dance with them during this time.
Each class is one hour and consists of both instruction and dancing.
Couples friendly, you rotate as much as you want or not at all. Singles friendly, no partner needed.

Sat 8 Sep, 9:30 am. Join a Ranger for a Guided Paddle with great wildlife viewing opportunities and learn the history of the park and the Ecosystem of the beautiful Ichetucknee River. The tour starts at the North Entrance, off Elim Church Road (County Road 238). Launch time will be Between 10-11 am. The tour ends at the last take-out at the south end of the park, and transportation will be provided back to the North Entrance. Participants should dress for the weather (mornings may be cool). Underwater GoPro-style cameras captured amazing footage on previous tours.
Please call the park concessionaire to reserve a spot.

Want to learn tango? Come join the UF Argentine Tango Club for a free beginner tango class. Feel free to join even if you have never danced tango before, there are teachers for whatever level you might be.
Who: Everyone can come. The beginner class is geared for people who have never danced before or who want to practice the basics. The intermediate class is for those who have been to at least some classes and is for you if you feel ready and confident enough to learn some new steps. The advanced class is for those who have been dancing for a long while now and will feature more complicated steps, so ask a teacher to make sure you are experienced enough for this level.

This is a 6-week series, skipping Thursday September 13 and Thursday October, ending Thursday October 25.
Experienced dancers are encouraged to attend this series as well. We have a group of experienced dancers who have been through this series before. If you have experience, you can dance with them during this time.
Each class is one hour and consists of both instruction and dancing.
Couples friendly, you rotate as much as you want or not at all. Singles friendly, no partner needed.
The more you dance, the faster you learn.

This event is completely free so come check it out if you have not. You may come alone or with a group of friends. Sat 22 Sep, 12:30-2 pm. Samba workshop explores various styles of this Brazilian rhythm. Workshop warm-up of consists of isolations in cadence with rhythms of the candomblé, followed by an introduction to samba de roda, the root of all samba. Students will get their hearts racing with samba-reggae before breaking down the structure and technique of samba-no-pe. Class culminates in Rio-style show choreography with variations for beginning through advanced students.
Beginners will focus on finding the downbeat, while advanced dancers will learn shine sequences. This is a great class for aerialists looking to add some Latin flavor to their floor choreography as well as friends of World Dance.
Prerequisites: positive attitude. Dance heels for choreography optional.

The intermediate class is for those who have been to at least some classes and is for you if you feel ready and confident enough to learn some new steps. This is an advanced contra dance for experienced dancers willing to be challenged and to enhance their dance skills. In brief, experienced means that you know contra moves without being taught. You know how to recover from a lapse, assist your partner and execute flourishes safely and on time. Advanced dances are 5th Sundays from 4-7 pm. Sun 30 Sep, 4-6 pm. Our Variety Classes includes Body Isolation/Afro Cuban, Salsa On2, Cha-Cha-Cha, Kizomba, and Ladies Styling. The variety classes do not teach salsa on1 and regular bachata because we offer those classes during the week.
Each Variety class will have a special guest instructor or an instructor from Baila Caliente.

Want to learn tango? Come join the UF Argentine Tango Club for a free beginner tango class. Feel free to join even if you have never danced tango before, there are teachers for whatever level you might be.
Who: Everyone can come. The beginner class is geared for people who have never danced before or who want to practice the basics. The intermediate class is for those who have been to at least some classes and is for you if you feel ready and confident enough to learn some new steps. The advanced class is for those who have been dancing for a long while now and will feature more complicated steps, so ask a teacher to make sure you are experienced enough for this level.
